13-6-2023 (BANGKOK) Thailand Welcomes Record-Breaking Tourist Arrivals in First Half of 2023 (Thailand) – Thailand’s tourism industry has rebounded with remarkable strength as the country recorded a staggering 11.4 million foreign tourist arrivals from January to June 11, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports on Tuesday. This influx of visitors has resulted in a total spending of 472 billion baht (equivalent to US$13.67 billion), signaling a promising recovery for the tourism sector.
The remarkable figure of 11.4 million tourist arrivals in just six months has already surpassed the total number of arrivals for the entire year of 2022, which stood at 11.15 million. This outstanding performance highlights the significant resurgence of Thailand’s tourism industry and the growing confidence among international travelers to visit the country.
