12-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Love knows no boundaries, and Rokiah Samat, a 62-year-old grandmother from Kelantan, has proven just that. Last year, she tied the knot with 28-year-old Sabahan Muhamad Amin Jumdail, showcasing that age is no barrier when it comes to matters of the heart.
The couple first crossed paths on TikTok in 2021, despite their significant age difference of 35 years. What began as a friendship gradually blossomed into something more, with Muhamad Amin, also known as Adam, developing deep feelings for Rokiah.
Adam, hailing from Semporna, expressed, “She’s not a famous entrepreneur or anything like that, just a regular person. I believe she’s my destined match as intended by Allah.”
Despite the geographical distance, their love persevered through daily text messages and video calls. Adam even worked as a masseuse in Johor to save up before finally meeting Rokiah in person in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, as reported by mStar.

Their families, fortunately, embraced their union without objection. The couple, bonded by their shared interests in gardening and fishing, got engaged in June 2022 and exchanged vows in September of the same year.
For Rokiah, a housewife who has 11 children, 22 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, it was her second marriage. Despite her age, she exclaims, “I’m 62 years old but I feel like I’m 40.” Her eldest child is 45, while her youngest is 18.
When asked about her attraction to Adam, she responded, “He’s a good man, responsible, patient, and very caring.”
Equally smitten, Adam assures that his intentions are pure and holds immense gratitude for having Rokiah as his wife. He admires her caring nature and describes her as perfect in every way.
“She’s also a good cook. My favorite dish is her fish head curry,” he added.
In spite of the age gap, the couple cherishes a peaceful and joyful life together, considering each other soulmates and completing one another.
