10-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Just 17 hours before the release of the 2022 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results, Nur Faralisa (18) lost her father, Mohamad Sukri (57), taking away the opportunity for him to witness and share in his daughter’s joyous achievement. It was a day of regret for Nur Faralisa, as she performed exceptionally well, but her father was no longer there to witness it.
According to Nur Faralisa, as reported by Kosmo, her father had been hospitalized for complications arising from kidney disease since last Monday. “Yesterday, around 7 p.m., my father took his last breath and was unable to accompany me to collect my results,” she shared. She had been by her father’s side until his passing. She expressed that her father had promised to be there with her to receive her SPM results, but unfortunately, he couldn’t hold on and passed away just 17 hours before the announcement.
Today, accompanied by her 17-year-old brother, Nur Faralisa returned to school to collect her results. Immediately after receiving them, she made her way to her father’s grave and shared the news, saying, “Father, your daughter has achieved these results.”
Nur Faralisa is the eldest of four siblings. She expressed her desire to dedicate her SPM results to her late mother and recently departed father. She pledged to fulfill her father’s wish by pursuing a degree in accounting, even if it means studying abroad.
