8-6-2023 (MANILA) The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) raised the alert level of Mayon Volcano to Alert Level 3 on Thursday, signaling an increased risk of a hazardous eruption in the near future.
Mayon Volcano, renowned for its picturesque cone shape, is the most active volcano in the Philippines and has erupted over 50 times within the past four centuries.
