7-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A horrifying incident unfolded on June 5 in Selangor, as a 12-year-old boy experienced unimaginable pain when his back was impaled by a 15-centimeter (cm) long iron fence at a house in Taman Seri, Sungai Besar. This nightmarish ordeal sent shockwaves through the community.
At approximately 6:25 pm, emergency services received a distress call, prompting officers from the Sungai Besar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to swiftly respond. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the child still trapped on the fence, enduring an agonizing wait. With great urgency, the rescue team utilized specialized tools to cut through the gate, ensuring the boy’s safety. Remarkably, he was transported to the hospital with the gate (and attached iron metal) still lodged in his buttocks.
According to a report by China Press, the iron spike had pierced the boy’s back, coming perilously close to his anus. Fearing further injury, he remained motionless throughout the rescue operation. Fortunately, a surgical procedure successfully removed the foreign object from his buttock, and his life is not believed to be in immediate danger.
Further details emerged, revealing that the young boy had attempted to sneak out of the house while his mother was away. Tragically, his ill-fated endeavor resulted in a painful and traumatic lesson learned the hard way. It serves as a stark reminder to all children that venturing into dangerous situations beyond their capabilities can have severe consequences. Let this be a cautionary tale for youngsters everywhere.
Accidents can occur when we least expect them, often leaving lasting scars—both physical and emotional. Our heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery go out to the brave child who endured unimaginable pain in this distressing incident. May he find solace and healing in the days to come, with the hope that this ordeal will soon become a distant memory.
