18-5-2023(Singapore) In a disturbing incident, a 22-year-old man was apprehended by the police for allegedly filming upskirt videos of women on the escalator at the Government Building MRT Station. The authorities, aided by closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, successfully tracked down and arrested the suspect.
According to a statement released by the police today (18th), they received a report yesterday (17th) around 6:20 p.m. regarding a man filming upskirt videos of women on the escalator at the MRT station.
“After conducting on-site inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage, officers from the Public Transportation Security Command and Central Police Headquarters identified the suspect and arrested him on the same day.”
Preliminary investigations indicate that the man is believed to be involved in similar voyeuristic cases, and the investigation is ongoing.
