8-9-2025 (SCARBOROUGH) A late-night shooting at a popular pub near Scarborough Town Centre has left at least 11 patrons wounded, with several fighting for their lives as police launch a manhunt for the perpetrator.
Emergency services descended upon the establishment at 520 Progress Avenue shortly before 11 o’clock last night after receiving multiple distress calls reporting gunfire, according to Toronto Ambulance Service.
Paramedics described encountering a “chaotic scene” upon arrival, with victims suffering injuries ranging from superficial wounds to life-threatening traumas. Medical teams worked swiftly to stabilise the most critically injured before transporting them to nearby trauma centres.
“We’re dealing with a fluid and dynamic situation,” said a Toronto paramedic spokesperson, who confirmed that several casualties remain in critical condition. “Our primary focus has been providing immediate life-saving interventions whilst coordinating with hospital trauma units.”
Metropolitan Police have established a large cordon around the venue as forensic teams gather evidence. Despite an extensive search operation, the gunman remains unapprehended, with authorities yet to release a description of the suspect to the public.
