16-1-2025 (KUALA LUMPUR) A foreign national met a tragic end following a fall from a residential high-rise in central Kuala Lumpur, authorities confirmed yesterday. The incident occurred at approximately 7:39 am on Tuesday at an apartment complex located on Yap Kwan Seng Road.
Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman, Chief of Dang Wangi District Police, confirmed the fatality during a press briefing yesterday afternoon. The victim, whose identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services responded promptly to reports of the incident, with paramedics arriving shortly thereafter. The deceased was transported to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem examination.
“Initial investigations reveal the deceased was a resident of the apartment complex,” AC Affendy told reporters. “A thorough search of the premises found no suicide note.”
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. “At present, we are treating this as a sudden death investigation whilst we gather all available evidence,” AC Affendy added.
