15-1-2025 (BALI) A prominent Australian DJ and social media personality has died following a devastating fall from a second-floor hotel balcony in Bali’s popular tourist district of Kuta.
Courtney Mills, 37, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning after a three-day battle in hospital, local authorities confirmed. The Perth-based DJ, who also maintained a significant following on OnlyFans, fell from her hotel balcony in the early hours of Friday morning in what appears to be a tragic accident.
Kuta Police Chief AKP Agus Riwayanto Diputra told reporters that Mills had returned to her hotel heavily intoxicated at approximately 1 am local time. “Hotel staff assisted the deceased to her room after noting her inebriated state,” he said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Moments after Mills was escorted to her accommodation, staff were alerted that she had been found unconscious by the poolside, having apparently fallen from her room’s balcony. Emergency services were immediately summoned, and the critically injured woman was rushed to Murni Teguh Hospital in Tuban.
Despite intensive medical intervention, Mills was pronounced dead at 6:30 am on Sunday. Representatives from the Australian Consulate, along with family members, visited the hospital to identify the deceased and initiate repatriation procedures.
Chief Diputra indicated that while police investigations are ongoing, they are awaiting formal documentation regarding the circumstances of Mills’ death. “The hospital requires certification to determine whether any criminal elements were involved in this incident,” he explained.
