8-1-2025 (KUALA LUMPUR) A 40-year-old man was fatally shot while dining at a local restaurant on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, occurred in Taman setia indah, Johor bahru when the victim momentarily stepped away from his tea-drinking companions to take a phone call in the five-foot way. In a calculated attack, a masked gunman approached and fired four precise shots at close range, with two bullets striking the victim’s heart.
In what witnesses describe as a chilling final moment, the victim briefly locked eyes with his killer before succumbing to his injuries and collapsing onto the pavement, leaving a trail of blood. The assailant, who had carefully orchestrated his escape route, quickly mounted a pre-positioned motorcycle and fled the scene, successfully evading pursuit attempts by the victim’s distraught companions.
Surveillance footage obtained from surrounding businesses revealed the nature of the attack. The perpetrator was strategically disguised in full protective gear, including a helmet and face mask, with long sleeves and trousers concealing any identifying features. Investigators noted the assailant’s distinctive black cross-body bag as a potential piece of evidence.
Medical personnel from Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) who responded to the emergency pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A police spokesperson confirmed the victim’s age as 40 and stated that a thorough investigation is currently underway.
“Our teams are working diligently to identify all parties involved in this incident,” the spokesperson said. “We are actively seeking witnesses and examining all possible motives behind this calculated attack.”
