25-12-2024 (BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN) A motorist’s routine journey turned dramatic when their BYD Sealion vehicle collided with a sizeable crocodile on the Penanjong Expressway in Tutong District.
The unprecedented encounter, which occurred during regular traffic hours, left both the vehicle severely damaged and the reptile fatally wounded. The driver, who emerged unscathed from the incident, was reportedly startled to discover the unexpected obstacle on the thoroughfare.
According to eyewitness accounts shared on the Brunei FM Facebook page, the impact was substantial enough to completely dislodge the vehicle’s left wheel and cause extensive damage to its front section. Photographs circulating on social media platforms depict the aftermath, showing the considerable size of the crocodile sprawled across the tarmac.
