11-12-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A 21-year-old Singaporean woman lost her life in a devastating motorcycle accident on the North-South Expressway near Sedenak, Malaysian authorities reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred whilst the deceased was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore as a pillion passenger on a high-powered motorcycle operated by her 23-year-old boyfriend, also a Singaporean national.
According to Kulai District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee, the authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 9:15 am. Initial investigations revealed that the rider lost control of the motorcycle before colliding with a steel road divider.
“The female passenger sustained severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, whilst her companion suffered leg injuries,” AC Tan disclosed. Both casualties were transported to the Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital in Kulai.
