8-12-2024 (SINGAPORE) Two elderly women required hospital treatment following a dramatic vehicular accident where their car nose-dived into the basement carpark of Queensway Shopping Centre.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday afternoon and involved four vehicles, left both occupants of the plunging car requiring medical attention. The driver, a 61-year-old woman, and her elderly passenger, aged 91, were fortunately conscious when emergency services arrived at the scene along Alexandra Road.
Authorities received the distress call at approximately 4:20 pm, prompting an immediate response from both police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The victims were swiftly transported to National University Hospital for treatment.
