13-11-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) Tun Daim Zainuddin, Malaysia’s influential former Finance Minister and key architect of the country’s economic policies during the Mahathir era, has died aged 86, his legal representative confirmed on Wednesday.
Datuk Dr Gurdial Singh Nijar announced that Daim passed away at Assunta Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment since October.
