3-10-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) Recent tiger sightings in the Sungai Tuba and Loji Nitar regions of Malaysia have set social media abuzz, as locals and wildlife enthusiasts share dramatic footage of the elusive big cats. The unexpected appearances have prompted a mix of excitement and caution among residents and visitors to these coastal areas.
Several videos circulating on various social media platforms depict what appears to be at least one tiger roaming freely in populated areas. In one particularly striking clip, a Chinese man can be heard exclaiming, “Look, look, the tiger is coming,” as the majestic creature comes into view. Remarkably, the tiger exhibits curiosity rather than aggression, maintaining a calm demeanour throughout the encounter.
The sightings have not been limited to daytime encounters. Another video shows local fishermen venturing out at night, armed with flashlights, in search of the tiger along the riverbanks. This nocturnal expedition highlights the growing interest and concern among the local population regarding their new feline neighbour.
