23-7-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) Six-year-old Albertine Leo, who went missing from a shopping mall in Johor on Saturday, has been found safe in the Batang Kali area of Selangor.
The confirmation of Albertine’s discovery came directly from Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan, who informed the media that the young girl had been located in Batang Kali, a town situated in the Hulu Selangor district. The news brought a sense of closure to the anxious search efforts that had been underway since her disappearance during the Bon Odori event at Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on Saturday.
The breakthrough in this high-profile case followed the arrests of two men and a woman, aged between 28 and 55, on Sunday afternoon in the Iskandar Puteri area. Johor police chief M Kumar had earlier revealed that these apprehensions were made to assist in the investigation, which had been reclassified under Section 365 of the Penal Code, pertaining to kidnapping or abducting with the intent to secretly and wrongfully confine an individual.
