1-7-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) The highly anticipated Good Vibes Festival 2024 has been officially cancelled. This decision comes after a tumultuous year for the festival, which included a notable incident involving the British band The 1975.
Prior to this announcement, the festival organisers had excitedly unveiled plans for a two-day extravaganza scheduled for July 20 and 21 at the picturesque Resorts World Awana in Genting Highlands. However, a recent development has forced them to reconsider their plans, leading to the cancellation of the much-awaited event.
On July 1, the organisers took to Instagram to break the unfortunate news to their loyal fans. According to the post, they had received a letter dated June 27, 2024, from the authorities, which conveyed a crucial directive – large-scale performances involving international artists were not to be held on July 20, 2024, and were to be rescheduled to a later date.
This decision was made out of respect for a significant national event – the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. Given the nature of the Good Vibes Festival, which features multiple touring acts over several days, rescheduling the event was deemed impossible by the organisers.

Consequently, Future Sound Asia, the company behind the festival, announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated event, originally slated for July 20 and 21, 2024.
In their statement, the organisers acknowledged the disappointment of their fans but emphasized their understanding and respect for the national ceremony. They expressed gratitude for the patience and support shown by their loyal attendees during this challenging time.
For those who had already purchased tickets for the festival, the organisers have assured that full refunds will be automatically processed to the payment method used for the purchase, providing some solace to those eagerly awaiting the event.
