30-6-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) In a harrowing incident on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak highway in Malaysia, a man in his 60s met a tragic end after the Lamborghini he was driving crashed and caught fire on Sunday (30 June). The horrific accident claimed the life of the driver, who burned to death after becoming trapped in his seat. Fortunately, members of the public were able to extract the female passenger from the burning vehicle, potentially saving her life.
The incident unfolded around 9 a.m., with the Bentong Fire and Rescue Department receiving an alert at 9:06 a.m. about the crash. Upon arriving at the location 25 minutes later, the responders were met with a devastating scene – the Lamborghini was “100% engulfed in flames,” with the driver pinned to his seat and unable to escape.
While the quick actions of bystanders ensured the female passenger’s safety, the driver’s fate was tragically sealed. Ismail Abdul Ghani, the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department deputy director, confirmed that the female passenger, who sustained injuries, was taken to the hospital by motorists who witnessed the incident.
Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead on the spot by Health Ministry personnel, according to a report by The Star. The firemen’s efforts were focused on extracting the driver’s remains from the burned vehicle and handing them over to the police for further investigation.
