Andreas “Woon Sen” Kalias, a German national married to a Thai woman in Nakhon Ratchasima province, will take on a surprising role in the upcoming film “Saen Sanan Phan San Soo” as a Hollywood hitman casually walking his dog on the beach. The film is currently in production and stars Jirayu “Kao” La-ongmanee and Sananthachat “Fon” Thanapatpisal.
Kalias’s journey to stardom began unexpectedly when videos of him shared on his wife’s TikTok account, “Tuktiklife,” drew a flurry of amusing comments from Thai social media users in May. Many netizens couldn’t help but notice his striking resemblance to Keanu Reeves’ iconic character, John Wick, with some jokingly speculating that the hitman could be on a new mission in Thailand.
The nine short clips showcased Kalias engaging in various everyday activities across Thailand, such as making coffee, selling grilled cuttlefish, washing dishes, and even visiting Bangkok’s renowned Wat Arun in traditional Thai attire. The videos swiftly went viral, amassing views ranging from 106,000 to an impressive 4.7 million.
Capitalizing on Kalias’s newfound internet fame, director Ping Lumprapleng extended an unexpected offer for the German lookalike to make a cameo appearance in his upcoming comedy film.
