According to reports, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the couple’s residence in Kampung Simee, shockingly taking place in front of their 12-year-old child. The dispute, which began after the family returned home from having breakfast, quickly spiraled out of control when the husband allegedly struck his wife, knocking her to the ground.
Eyewitnesses describe a harrowing scene where the enraged husband proceeded to brutally assault his 48-year-old wife, Yau Mei-fung, with various objects before ultimately stabbing her with a knife, leaving her lifeless at the scene.
Neighbors, alarmed by the commotion, promptly alerted the authorities, and the suspect was subsequently arrested by the police at the residence. Tragically, the couple’s 12-year-old daughter witnessed the entirety of the horrific incident unfold before her eyes.
According to family members, after the initial verbal altercation, the husband grabbed a nearby object and began viciously attacking his wife. As the situation escalated, he then armed himself with a knife and stabbed her repeatedly, ultimately leading to her untimely demise.
The traumatized daughter, upon witnessing her father’s actions, quickly sought help by contacting relatives, while neighbors promptly called the emergency services.
