12-6-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A 17-year-old boy lost his life instantly after a violent collision between two motorcycles in the town of Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, Malaysia. The impact of the crash was so severe that the teenager’s leg was severed.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 7:40 pm on Tuesday, June 11, along Jalan Jerus-Kok Lanas in Pasir Puteh. The deceased, who was riding one of the motorcycles alone, collided head-on with another motorcycle carrying two passengers.
Pasir Puteh police district chief, Superintendent Syed Surisa, provided details of the harrowing incident to the local media. As reported by Sin Chew Daily, the motorcycle carrying two men had allegedly lost control, leading to the devastating collision with the teenager’s motorcycle.
A viral video capturing the aftermath of the crash has been circulating, depicting the chilling scene. In the footage, an overturned motorcycle can be seen lying in the middle of the road, surrounded by debris scattered across the area. A few meters away, one of the victims is shown lying on the side of the road, being attended to by a passer-by. Disturbingly, the video also captured what appears to be a severed leg lying at a distance from the crash site, a grim testament to the violence of the impact.
According to Sin Chew Daily’s report, the 17-year-old boy tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot after one of his legs was severed during the violent collision. Meanwhile, the rider and pillion passenger of the other motorcycle, aged 21 and 18 respectively, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
