3-6-2024 (MANILA) President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Malacañan Palace on Monday, as the conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues unabated.
“It is a great pleasure to meet with you to discuss some of the issues that are common to our two countries and hopefully find ways for both of us together,” Marcos was quoted by media outlets as saying.
Zelenskyy arrived in Manila following his visit to Singapore, where he participated in the Shangri-La Dialogue, a significant conference attended by defence officials from around the globe.
In Singapore, Zelenskyy sought to garner support for an upcoming global peace conference in Switzerland and called for increased military assistance for Ukraine.
