20-5-2024 (JAKARTA) A light aircraft carrying three individuals crashed in Tanggerang city, adjacent to Indonesia’s capital Jakarta, on May 19, resulting in the deaths of all on board, a rescue official confirmed.
The plane, identified by its registration number PK-IFP, lost communication at 1.43 PM Jakarta time before the tragic accident occurred, reported Mr. Ramli Prasetio, a spokesperson for Jakarta’s search and rescue agency.
“All three occupants of the plane perished in the crash,” Mr. Prasetio told Xinhua news agency.
Operated by the Indonesian Flying Club, the ill-fated flight had departed from the coastal region of Tanjung Lesung in Banten province and was en route to Pondok Cabe in Tanggerang. The exact cause of the crash remains undetermined, although Mr. Prasetio noted that the weather conditions were poor at the time of the incident.
A Tecnam P2006T aircraft (PK-IFP) operated by a Flying Club crashed today in Sunburst BSD, South Tangerang. 3 people were onboard, and all died.
