17-5-2024 (JAKARTA) A dramatic incident unfolded at Jakarta Airport involving a TransNusa Airlines ground staff member who fell from an aircraft door, drawing significant attention after the event was captured on video and shared widely online.
The video, posted on X, shows the male ground staff member speaking with the crew at the door of an Airbus A320. Unaware that the boarding stairs had been removed, he stepped forward into empty space and plunged several meters onto the tarmac below. Paper documents are seen scattering as he hits the ground.
Eyewitnesses estimated that the aircraft door was approximately three meters high, leading to concerns about potential severe injuries from the fall. However, airport authorities confirmed that while the staff member sustained injuries, none were life-threatening. He was promptly given medical attention and is currently in stable condition.
