1-4-2024 (JAKARTA) In the case of “Marianna,” a 41-year-old woman, and “Kevin,” a 16-year-old young man, the couple tied the knot at the end of July 2022 amidst global social media criticism. The middle-aged woman’s marriage to a minor, who has not yet reached the age of consent, became a subject of intense debate. Adding to the controversy, the other party involved is still considered a friend of the bride. According to TribunNews, Marianna has now divorced Kevin, with “Lisa,” Kevin’s mother, admitting her relief and shedding light on the true story behind Kevin’s family life.
Lisa, Kevin’s mother, posted a picture of her son on Facebook, accompanied by a caption stating that he has returned home after parting ways with Marianna. However, they have not yet taken formal steps to legally divorce. She also revealed the reasons behind their separation, explaining that Kevin frequently quarreled with Marianna. The young boy made it clear that he wanted to divorce his wife, a sentiment expressed on four occasions, but his pleas went unanswered.
Following their separation, Kevin did not bring any valuable belongings with him, as all the wedding expenses were covered by his wife, including the wedding rings and mobile phone. He had to ask his father to buy him new ones.
Lisa further elaborated that while she initially saw Kevin’s marriage in a positive light, over time, she started feeling disheartened as Kevin changed slightly. He blindly believed and obeyed his wife, no longer showing love or listening to his mother.
Previously, Lisa had vented her frustration on social media, stating, “My son is no longer mine. He belongs to his wife. He belongs to you completely. He will believe and listen to his wife. As for me, I have become someone else. My child, whom we love and are proud of, has changed drastically because of his mother. He has become an unresponsive child. His wife is important, and his parents are not.”
