19-3-2024 (BANGKOK) Singer Violette Wautier lodged a formal complaint with the police Technology Crime Suppression Division on Tuesday, alleging the unauthorized use of her face in deepfake pornographic images and videos. Accompanied by her legal counsel, the 30-year-old Thai-German entertainer expressed distress over the non-consensual dissemination of explicit material featuring her likeness.
Ms. Wautier revealed that her fans had come across the illicit content and promptly notified her. Deeply concerned about the situation and fearing potential misinterpretation, she felt compelled to take legal action to safeguard her reputation and personal well-being.
“In the first place, I was shocked. As a woman, it’s distressing, and I was afraid of being misunderstood,” Ms. Wautier conveyed.
