21-1-2024 (TOKYO) Tokyo police have apprehended a 30-year-old Filipino woman, Hazel Ann Baguisa Morales, on allegations of abandoning the bodies of Norihiro Takahashi, 55, and his wife Kimie, 52. The lifeless bodies of the missing couple were discovered beneath their residence in the capital’s Adachi Ward, revealing apparent knife wounds and prompting a swift police response.
Morales, reportedly in a relationship with the couple’s son, has vehemently denied the charges brought against her. Authorities are intensifying their investigation to ascertain whether Morales had any pre-existing issues with the couple that might have led to their disappearance.
Detectives believe that the couple fell victim to an attack within their home, citing bloodstains discovered near the entrance and in various areas of the hallway. The crime scene also exhibited signs of attempts to wipe away the bloodstains, indicating a potential effort to conceal the violent nature of the incident.
The couple’s son, residing with them, raised the alarm when he contacted the police around 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday. He reported his parents as missing and highlighted the presence of bloodstains at the entrance of the family home, setting off a series of events that culminated in the grim discovery beneath the residence.
As the investigation unfolds, the Tokyo community grapples with the shock of this gruesome incident, seeking answers to the questions surrounding the motives and circumstances that led to the untimely demise of Norihiro and Kimie Takahashi.
