21-12-2023 (SINGAPORE) A distressing incident unfolded at an open-air car park on Crawford Lane in Lavender when a man returned to his parked car to find it defaced with feces and accompanied by a threatening note. The shocking discovery occurred around 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 20.
Facebook user Jeremy See shared the disturbing incident, stating that he came across a car in a horrifying state and covered in excrement at the aforementioned location. The note left on the car windscreen was personalized, addressing the owner by name and containing numerous expletives and threats.
The note hinted at a family-related dispute between the involved parties, adding an unsettling dimension to the incident. The vandalized car showcased additional acts of aggression, including a cone placed on the bonnet, a slushie cup and a cardboard box taped to the roof, and a burner bin strategically used to obstruct the car’s path.
Upon discovering the appalling condition of his vehicle, the car owner appeared shocked and resigned. Witnesses reported that he remained seated in the car for nearly 30 minutes. The police were summoned, and the car owner engaged in a conversation with an officer at the scene.
Jeremy See, who witnessed the aftermath, recounted the unfolding events. “Eventually, the police arrived, and the car owner spoke to an officer,” he said, noting that he left approximately 10 minutes after the police’s arrival.
A video later surfaced on the Instagram page SgfollowsAll, allegedly showing the perpetrator smearing excrement on the car windscreen and back windscreen.
In response to inquiries, the police confirmed receiving a call for assistance at 463 Crawford Lane on December 20 around 9:45 am. Subsequently, a 52-year-old man was arrested for public nuisance. Police investigations are ongoing as they seek to unravel the motive behind this disturbing act of vandalism.
