19-12-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A young and soon-to-be-married singer lost her life after being stabbed eight times by a middle-aged man who had been pursuing her romantically. The victim’s family is urgently seeking eyewitnesses to come forward with any relevant video footage to piece together the true sequence of events.
The incident unfolded when the singer, 26-year-old Xu Jialing, who was preparing for her upcoming wedding, left a restaurant in Klang yesterday afternoon after a meal with a middle-aged admirer in his forties.
Unexpectedly, a disagreement erupted between the two during their interaction, leading the middle-aged man to violently stab the 26-year-old singer in the abdomen eight times. Shockingly, after the brutal attack, the assailant kidnapped the lifeless woman and drove away.
Appeal for Witnesses
In a press conference held at the mortuary of the Klang Central Hospital this afternoon, Xu Jialing’s 23-year-old brother, Xu Weixiang, and her 23-year-old boyfriend, Liu Yuyang, urged the public to provide any information related to the incident that occurred between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm on the 18th of December near a restaurant in Klang’s Gao Yang Yuan.
The grieving Liu Yuyang, who has been living with Xu Jialing in Bukit Tinggi, Klang since July, expressed the difficulty in accepting the tragic news. He hoped it was a cruel joke upon hearing the initial reports but sadly acknowledged the heartbreaking reality. He described his profound sorrow, noting that he cried until there were no more tears.
Recounting happier times, Liu Yuyang revealed that the couple had taken joyful photos together just the previous Sunday. Xu Jialing was excited about selecting pictures for their wedding in January. The unexpected tragedy has left Liu Yuyang devastated, and he hopes the police will provide a comprehensive and transparent explanation to bring justice for his late girlfriend.
Liu Yuyang disclosed that Xu Jialing had mentioned a customer from a restaurant who had been pursuing her for two years through her singing engagements. Despite her efforts to avoid and politely reject him, the persistent admirer continued to invite her for meals. Reluctantly, Xu Jialing agreed to meet him for lunch at the aforementioned restaurant on the tragic day, leading to the unfolding of the fatal incident.
