9-12-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Selangor police have confirmed the identity of the woman discovered encased in cement in a bathroom of a rental house in Klang, Malaysia, as an Indian national. The victim, in her 30s and 160cm tall, was revealed to be the girlfriend of a previous tenant who resided in the house, according to Police Chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.
As of December 9, the main suspect in the case, an Indian national, is being sought by the police. The authorities are collaborating with the Indian Embassy and Indian police to locate and apprehend the suspects. The investigation is ongoing, with a 53-year-old foreign man already detained on December 5, and two other foreigners connected to the murder also identified.
The house, previously occupied by two foreign men from August 2019 to October 2021, has become a focal point of the investigation. Ten witnesses have been called to assist, and based on their statements, the police have created a sketch of the victim. The hope is that with these new developments, the case will be resolved promptly.
The background of the case involves the house owner discovering the water tub in the bathroom covered with cement before renting it to new tenants. The previous tenant explained that liquid from a rat carcass was seeping into the tub. The house owner, hiring foreign workers to repair the roof last month, only discovered the body encased in cement on December 3, leading to the initiation of the murder investigation.
