17-11-2023 (JAKARTA) Indonesia is set to include nickel shipments in the government’s online tracking system, SIMBARA, starting next year as part of its efforts to enhance governance in the mining sector, announced Mining Minister Arifin Tasrif on Friday.
The government is currently formulating the necessary policy to incorporate nickel into the online tracking system, with expectations to implement the measure in the coming year, Tasrif revealed.
SIMBARA, the government’s online tracking system, was initially introduced to monitor the movement of coal shipments from mines to buyers.
