17-11-2023 (SINGAPORE) In a startling incident, a teacher in Singapore reportedly discovered a dead lizard inside her Sunshine bread, and to make matters worse, she accidentally took a bite of the lizard’s tail.
The incident came to light when it was shared on the Instagram page @sgfollowsall on November 16. According to an anonymous user claiming to be a teacher, their colleague found a lizard carcass halfway through consuming a Sunshine Enriched Butter Sugar Wholemeal bun.
A photo of the partially eaten bun revealed a dead lizard squashed against it, suggesting that the creature may have entered during the baking or packaging process. The shocking revelation took an even more disturbing turn as the teacher had unknowingly bitten off the lizard’s tail, prompting her to spit it out in disgust upon realization.
Traumatized by the experience, the Instagram user declared they would “never get Sunshine, ever.”
In a follow-up post, it was disclosed that the contaminated bun was purchased from a 7-Eleven outlet.
Netizens responded to the horrifying find with witty remarks, with one user humorously suggesting that instead of a protein bar, one could now opt for a “protein bread.”
