14-11-2023 (BEIJING) Chinese President Xi Jinping departed Beijing on Tuesday evening, November 14, aboard a special aircraft destined for San Francisco, USA. According to Xinhua News Agency, Xi’s departure was in response to an invitation from US President Biden to attend a summit between the two leaders. The summit is scheduled to take place in San Francisco and coincides with Xi’s participation in the 30th informal meeting of leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
The White House previously announced that the Xi-Biden meeting is set for the 15th of November. This encounter marks the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of China and the United States in nearly a year.
