14-11-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) An Indonesian barter trade ship crashed into the Royal Selangor Yacht Club, causing extensive damage to two yachts. The entire event was captured on camera and shared by @wansyazzz, providing a glimpse into the dramatic collision that occurred at the jetty around 7 am.
The ship involved in the accident was identified as the KLM Maulana Hasil Abadi, which encountered engine problems shortly after departing from the Asa Niaga jetty in Klang, Selangor. The vessel’s engine failure led to the unfortunate collision at the popular yacht club.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, the Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s (MMEA) Assistant Director, Sharenliza Ghazali, dispatched the MMEA’s Benteng 02 boat to the scene. The authorities swiftly responded to the distress call in an effort to assess the situation and provide assistance.
