The popular food blogger, known as Papa Nash, shared a video showcasing the Malaysian couple’s satay business, sparking widespread discussion among netizens.
According to Papa Nash’s introduction in the video, he stumbled upon a roadside satay truck named Satay Bro, run by a Sabahan couple, Zul and his wife, in Perth, Australia.
The satay menu offers both set meals and à la carte options. The set meal is priced at AUD 12 (approximately RM36.43), while a single satay skewer costs AUD 2 (approximately RM7). Each order comes with satay sauce, onions, cucumbers, and Nasi Impit (compressed rice). Additionally, they also sell other dishes such as spicy fried chicken, turmeric chicken rice, and stir-fried noodles.
In just three hours of operation, the couple managed to sell an astounding 400 skewers of satay. They started selling at 2 pm and sold out by around 5 pm.
Papa Nash revealed that despite only being in business for three months, the couple has already gained a loyal following, with an increasing number of people lining up for their satay. After trying it himself, Papa Nash gave the satay a perfect score of 10 out of 10, praising it as one of the most delicious satay he has ever tasted, boasting an authentic Malaysian flavor.
Some netizens calculated that if the couple continues to sell satay at this rate for a month, they could potentially earn up to RM100,000.
