In a subsequent video, posted a day later, medical personnel were shown transferring the girl from a ward to another room for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. The mother shared the MRI report in the video, revealing that her daughter cried due to the pain she was experiencing.
“We will be making frequent visits to the hospital for her physiotherapy… Mum and Dad will do everything possible for you, as you are our only daughter,” wrote the mother in the video caption, expressing her unwavering support.
A third video, uploaded on Wednesday, showcased Iqa in higher spirits as she sat in a wheelchair. In this video, the mother disclosed that the prank had resulted in a fractured tailbone, slipped discs, and bone bruising for Iqa. However, she also mentioned that Iqa had been discharged from the hospital.

The mother added that Iqa requires a pillow when sitting, but she cannot remain seated for extended periods and must predominantly rest in bed. Alongside this, the mother shared a poster warning the public about the dangers of prank chair-pulling incidents.
Netizens expressed outrage over the incident, with many revealing that they had been victims of similar pranks and continue to suffer from the consequences. One commenter, “Kak Long Aini,” shared her own experience, stating, “I’ve been suffering for 32 years because of cases like this. I have an L1-L5 slip disc and just had a steroid injection on Oct 5, but the pain is still there. I swear by Allah I won’t forgive them.”
Another concerned netizen, “semuanyapinjamanAllah,” highlighted the prevalence of such cases and stressed the need for teachers to remind their students about the dangers associated with such pranks.
“Aniza_putera70” urged Iqa’s mother to demand that the perpetrator’s family cover all medical expenses until the girl makes a full recovery.
This incident echoes a similar occurrence earlier in 2023, when a Malaysian child actress was left unable to walk and had to wear diapers after another child pulled away the chair she was sitting on. The child actress, Puteri Rafasya, has since made a recovery from the traumatic incident.
