6-10-2023 (CALIFORNIA) Tech billionaire Elon Musk has followed through on his promise to remove headlines from news organizations’ posts on his social media platform, X Corp. (formerly known as Twitter).
This alteration, which was initiated on Wednesday, means that some users will now only see the post and the primary image associated with the linked news story. To access the complete story, users must click on the displayed image.
In August, Musk first mentioned his intention to make this change, stating that it would “significantly enhance the platform’s aesthetics.”
This is the latest in a series of alterations made to the platform since Musk took control of it in 2022. Just two weeks ago, he floated the idea of implementing a monthly subscription fee for all users as a strategy to combat bot-related issues.
This is coming from me directly. Will greatly improve the esthetics.
