In a surprising turn of events, a 14-year-old boy was apprehended as the prime suspect, armed with a 9mm handgun. Initial investigations suggest he had been exhibiting signs of erratic behavior, reportedly acting on the instructions of an unknown individual who directed him to commit the horrific act.
Authorities have discovered video clips of the young suspect practicing with firearms and even shared images of magazines loaded with ammunition with friends prior to the incident. The motive behind this violent act remains unclear as investigations continue to unfold.
Police Lieutenant General Thosak Sukwimol, Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, revealed that the suspect’s background check indicated a history of mental health issues, but there is no evidence of consistent treatment or medication. Furthermore, the weapon in question appears to be a modified BB gun, altered to fire real bullets.
Following the incident, law enforcement officers swiftly conducted a search of the suspect’s living quarters in the Bang Khae district, Bangkok. Inside the room, an alarming cache of ammunition was uncovered, along with target sheets commonly used for firearm practice. The seized items include:

- Three 5.56 caliber bullets with indentation marks
- One .45 caliber bullet
- Five .357 caliber bullet casings

- Forty-nine live 9mm bullets
- A single BB gun
