3-10-2023 (BANGKOK) Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced on Tuesday that the government is set to implement policies aimed at revitalizing the economy from the grassroots level. One of these initiatives, the introduction of a digital wallet policy, is expected to have a significant impact, equivalent to 5 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
In an address given at a forum organized by a local newspaper, Prime Minister Srettha outlined the government’s plans to attract investments in high-tech and high-skill industries. Additionally, he expressed the intention to pursue more free trade agreements, including with the European Union (EU).
