29-9-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) On Friday, September 29, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was seen entering Istana Negara, intensifying speculations about an imminent Cabinet reshuffle.
Anwar, accompanied by his entourage, arrived at the palace gate around 10:45 am.
Traditionally, the Prime Minister meets with the King on Wednesdays prior to the weekly Cabinet meeting, making today’s audience with the King a subject of keen interest.
There are two conflicting versions regarding the purpose of this meeting. One suggests that Anwar is presenting the proposed Cabinet changes to the Agong (the King) and may announce them today. However, an alternative version implies that the announcement will not be made today, as further refinement of the proposed changes is needed.
