27-9-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Luwe Xin Hui, who recently emerged victorious in the ATV Miss Asia Pageant Malaysia 2023, is now facing allegations from individuals claiming to have been bullied by her during their school days. Several alleged victims have taken to Luwe’s Instagram to share their experiences.
One accuser highlighted that victims of Luwe’s bullying had suffered from depression as a result of her actions. They expressed concern about the potential harm she could inflict on others if she were to become the champion, considering the bullying based on appearance that had taken place.

“We have evidence, and if necessary, those who were bullied by her can testify,” the individual asserted.
Another netizen shared a personal encounter, recalling the mental torment they and their friends endured at the hands of Luwe between 2014 and 2015. Verbal bullying, including mockery of their appearances and the use of derogatory nicknames, was a common occurrence. The netizen described an incident where Luwe and her friends cornered them in a restroom, causing fear and humiliation. Luwe even splashed water on them during a school event. Despite seeking help from teachers, no effective action was taken.
A third individual stated that Luwe’s bullying was widely known among their shared school community. They said, “She regularly engaged in verbal and online bullying against me and my friends. Her actions, such as pouring water into my backpack and throwing classmates’ water bottles in the trash, were notorious.”
Luwe, currently 23 years old, is scheduled to represent Malaysia in the upcoming Miss Asia Pageant finals in Shanghai, China, later this year.
In response to the allegations, Asia Television News, the organizer of the ATV Miss Asia Pageant Malaysia 2023, released a statement on September 27. They emphasized their commitment to fairness and their strong opposition to any form of bullying or discrimination.
“We firmly believe that every contestant should compete with respect and fairness. We will thoroughly investigate the allegations to ensure a transparent and just process,” the statement read.
The network also emphasized the importance of substantial evidence and cautioned against making judgments based solely on words or text. They pledged to conduct an in-depth investigation and seek legal counsel to safeguard the integrity of the pageant.
The company called on the public to refrain from speculating or making malicious claims against the event until conclusive results are obtained.
