20-9-2023 (HONG KONG) It appears that the late Hong Kong-American singer Coco Lee was aware of her husband, Canadian businessman Bruce Rockowitz’s extramarital affair. According to a document obtained by Taiwan’s Mirror Media on September 20, the document, believed to be a marital settlement agreement, suggests that Lee discovered Rockowitz’s affair in 2017.
In response, Rockowitz promised to end the affair at that time. However, the document indicates that Lee later found out that he continued to maintain contact with the third party, which allegedly led to her experiencing depression.
The document further states that Lee’s depression symptoms worsened last year after her husband vacationed on the Spanish island of Ibiza while she was battling breast cancer. Reportedly, Lee learned of her cancer diagnosis in August 2022.
While Rockowitz has not yet addressed this matter publicly, he previously issued a statement denying any disputes over Lee’s assets and asserting his intention to take legal action against those spreading false and defamatory claims about him.
On the other hand, Lee’s older sister, Nancy, declined to comment on the allegations contained in the leaked document out of respect for the privacy of Rockowitz and her late sister.
Rockowitz has faced significant criticism following Coco Lee’s death on July 5. On August 1, he was confronted by fans of the late singer outside the crematorium. When questioned by reporters, he expressed his enduring love for Coco Lee.
Coco Lee and Bruce Rockowitz tied the knot in 2011 after eight years of dating. The couple had been separated for more than two years at the time of Lee’s passing and were reportedly on the verge of signing divorce papers in July.
