This enhancement allows individuals to personalize their ChatGPT experience, receiving responses that are increasingly customized to their preferences.
ChatGPT, the AI-powered chatbot developed by OpenAI, now offers users a practical tool in the form of custom instructions that can be saved to their accounts. This feature empowers users to guide the intelligent assistant in generating tailored responses by providing specific and practical information. Notably, this functionality is accessible to all users, regardless of whether they have a paid account.
To make use of this feature, users simply need to navigate to the account menu and select “Custom Instructions.” From there, they will be prompted to answer two questions: “What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?” and “How would you like ChatGPT to respond?” Users can take this opportunity to provide relevant details such as their location, occupation (in the case of business accounts), a list of interests, or specific expectations from ChatGPT.
Moreover, users have the option to specify their preferred response format, indicating whether they prefer concise or detailed answers. They can also express their preference regarding ChatGPT’s stance on certain subjects, whether it should take a position or remain neutral.
