4-9-2023 (PHNOM PENH) Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has departed for Jakarta, Indonesia, to attend the 43rd summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related meetings. This marks Hun Manet’s first international appearance as the prime minister of Cambodia since assuming office on August 22.
Themed “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” and with a focus on advancing the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related meetings will take place from Tuesday to Thursday.
Established in 1967, ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
