29-8-2023 (PHNOM PENH) Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet addressed a large gathering of approximately 18,000 garment factory workers on Tuesday, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fostering job creation, increasing the monthly minimum wage in the garment, footwear, and travel goods industry, and alleviating poverty.
During the public forum, held in Phnom Penh, Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized the government’s dedication to maintaining peace, stability, and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He further emphasized the government’s focus on driving socioeconomic development for the betterment of the Cambodian people.
“The government remains steadfast in its mission to ensure peace and stability, protect our sovereignty, and advance the socioeconomic well-being of our citizens,” stated Prime Minister Hun Manet, addressing the enthusiastic audience of garment factory workers.
