29-8-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Michelle Yeoh, the Oscar-winning actress, has made a heartwarming return to her homeland, Malaysia, to reunite with her family.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday (Aug 27), the 61-year-old Yeoh posted a collection of photos accompanied by the caption, “Arrived back to KL to love.”
Among the photos, one particularly stood out – a framed drawing portraying Yeoh holding her prestigious Best Actress trophy from the 95th Academy Awards. This esteemed accolade was earned for her exceptional performance in the film “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”
Another picture captured a seemingly delightful moment – a wedding cake adorned with a miniature figurine of Yeoh and her spouse, Jean Todt, the former president of the International Automobile Federation.
In a more recent update on Monday (Aug 28), Yeoh delighted her fans with snapshots of herself relishing a meal alongside her mother, Datin Janet Yeoh, and other close relatives in her hometown of Ipoh, Perak.
“Love mum and of course she fed me. And my siblings too,” she expressed in her post.

The 84-year-old also expressed her wish for Michelle to return to Malaysia and host a wedding reception for friends and family.
Jean Todt, aged 77, had proposed to Michelle Yeoh on July 26, 2004, just six weeks after they began dating. The couple’s romantic journey began on June 4, 2004, when they first crossed paths in Shanghai, China.
