16-8-2023 (SEOUL) BTS, the internationally acclaimed K-pop boyband, will be ending their hiatus in 2025, much to the delight of their devoted fanbase. Comprising RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, the group had initially revealed their break during their annual FESTA dinner last year, which commemorated their ninth anniversary as a highly popular band.
During this hiatus period, the individual members of BTS have been focusing on their respective solo projects, with some also fulfilling mandatory military service obligations. However, despite the anticipation building among fans, the eagerly awaited reunion will still require a bit more patience.
RM, in a recent livestream conversation on Weverse, shared a discussion he had with fellow bandmate Suga. He revealed, “He told me that there were a great number of ARMY across the globe wanting the seven of us to reunite and perform again.”
RM went on to express his perspective on the hiatus, likening it to a vacation. He explained, “What I mean by that is that it’s a kind of vacation that we, BTS and ARMY, need to take to successfully come back as a whole. So, I believe all our solo activities are important trips for our next chapter, and they’re also trips which we must go on in order to safely come back home.”
Emphasizing their reunion, RM asserted, “We’ll be joining together again. And that will be in 2025.”
When initially announcing their hiatus, RM highlighted the necessity for each member to focus on individual growth and maturity. He remarked, “I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature. You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.”
J-Hope echoed these sentiments, expressing the belief that spending time apart would ultimately strengthen the group. He stated, “I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again. I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing, and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.”
Addressing concerns of a potential split, V reassured fans that the band remains intact and promised that their future collaboration would possess an unmatched synergy. He declared, “We are not splitting up. When we regroup, our synergy will be like no other.”
