11-7-2023 (BANGKOK) In a shocking turn of events, authorities made a grisly discovery on Monday night when they located the remains of a missing German property broker, Hans Peter Ralter Mack, concealed within a freezer at a residence in tambon Nong Prue of Bang Lamung district. The breakthrough came as detectives pursued leads derived from surveillance camera footage, intensifying efforts to determine the whereabouts of the German national who had vanished on July 4, prompting concerns from his family.
With forensic experts meticulously combing through the scene, their primary objective is to ascertain the cause of death. Shedding light on the investigation, Pol Maj Gen Theerachai Chamnanmor, the lead investigator of the Provincial Police Region 2, disclosed the existence of compelling evidence linking the suspects to the crime. Furthermore, he attributed the motive behind the tragic incident to extortion, revealing that a significant sum of approximately 2 million baht had been siphoned from the victim’s bank account.
According to the 24-year-old Thai wife of Hans Peter Ralter Mack, whose identity remains undisclosed, she informed authorities on July 5 that her husband had departed their residence in the Swiss Paradise housing estate located in Pattaya, Chon Buri, to meet with a foreign property broker. The purpose of this rendezvous was to discuss potential property sales in Pattaya and Koh Samui, situated in the province of Surat Thani.
Adding to the mounting evidence, investigators stumbled upon Mack’s silver Mercedes-Benz E350 coupe on Sunday morning at the CC Condominium parking lot on Khao Noi Road in tambon Nong Prue. Intriguingly, the vehicle yielded traces of a chemical cleanser, strongly indicating an endeavor to obliterate any incriminating evidence.
The victim’s wife revealed that she had shared a domestic partnership with the German national for approximately five years. Additionally, Mack had two sons from a previous marriage, further highlighting the depth of tragedy that now grips those who knew him.
