1-2-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Malaysia as a 5-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being discovered unconscious in her mother’s car on Tuesday (Jan 30). The car had been parked near the back entrance of Shah Alam Hospital.
Shah Alam district police chief, ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, revealed that authorities were alerted to the distressing event by a medical officer at the hospital around 8 pm on the same day.
Investigations revealed that the child’s mother was employed at the hospital and inadvertently left her daughter in the car. After picking up her daughter from a nearby nursery at approximately 2 pm, the mother returned to work.
“The girl was asleep in the car with the engine turned off. The child’s 34-year-old mother only became aware of the situation when her husband contacted her at 6 pm,” Mohd Iqbal explained.
“The victim was rushed to the Shah Alam Hospital Emergency Department in an unconscious state, but despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead.”
Mohd Iqbal further stated that a post-mortem examination conducted on the child revealed no external or internal injuries, deepening the mystery surrounding the tragic incident.
