3-1-2025 (BANGKOK) A devastating crash between a passenger bus and a Toyota Fortuner at a motorway toll booth has left approximately 30 people injured in what witnesses described as a scene of utter chaos during Tuesday evening’s rush hour.
The catastrophic incident unfolded at 7:17 pm at the Pong Dan toll plaza, situated at kilometre marker 117+900, when both vehicles became entangled in a violent collision at booth number 7 of the outbound lanes.
The impact was so severe that the bus suffered extensive frontal damage, with its windscreen completely shattered and the passenger compartment severely compromised. Both vehicles remained wedged in the toll booth lane, causing significant disruption to motorway traffic.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where they encountered dozens of casualties requiring immediate medical attention. “We’re dealing with approximately 30 injured individuals, though the full extent of their injuries is still being assessed,”
